Fate is a funny thing,

She bought me joy,

Right when I could not share it with anybody.

The same Love that bought me joy,

Wronged me twice like an invisible curse.

The Sun is a funny saint,

Very old and yet we have a short lifespan,

We can't live to tell it all!

Fate is a funny thing,

She bought me joy,

When I couldn't trust myself,

Like a shadow that swiftly disappears when the lights are turned off.
