"THE GIFT OF FAMILY"

The little child said hello to this world,
Graced this Earth from the great empyrean heights,
Alone he came on this journey,
With no one as friendly company.
Opened he his eyes to behold,
The figure of a woman kiss his infant head,
He looked on, wondering who she was,
Deep within, magic healed his broken sores.

He cried with a wiry voice
Probably out of bewilderment
But she held him close to her bosom,
Told him he was a sprouting leaf that'd blossom.

She nourished him with milk from her breasts,
As water from a living spring,
There the connection came to be,
The truth lay bare before his eyes so he could clearly see.

He called on to her,
And she answered him with tender love
That carved a mark in his soul,
As a horse adores her foal.

She held him by the hands,
Silently he thanked God for this privilege
Not all infants his age could see,
The gift of love and family.
