- Personal Information: Graced the shores of Mother Earth on the 18th day of June, 1997. I’ve lived all my life in Ikorodu, Lagos State but my roots can be traced back to Owerri, Imo State.
- Who is Victor Chukwuka? Hmm, I’d say I’m a teenager with many dreams and aspirations hoping to achieve them all one step at a time by God’s grace and mercies.
- When and how did you discover your gift for poetry? I actually started out with drawing. I drew a lot during my formative years. My sophomore year in Senior High School shut the doors to my drawing passion and opened the window to writing. Though I still make a few sketches every now and then. We were asked by our English Tutor, Mr. Sanusi by name to write an expository essay on Nigeria as a country. The manner in which I portrayed Nigeria in those few lines really wowed him. I didn’t’teven know I could write that way. Mr. Sanusi remains one of my mentors to this day. My journey into the realm of poetry began from then onwards.
- Of all its various forms, why do you write on Love Poetry the most? Well, I believe it’sa matter of priority. I prioritize love above all others because I eat, drink, and speak love. It’s what I can relate to the most. Breakups, first love, lost or forgotten love, you name it, they are the spice of life and that’s why I write on them the most.
- What message do you hope to pass across to your numerous readers: I hope to inspire them in those areas they experience one challenge or the other through the poems I write and those written by others. I love seeing people happy, and if I can paint a smile in the heart of a special someone out there who reads these poems, I’d be more than fulfilled….
