Talking To You Tonight

Talking to you tonight, kept my thoughts running wild!
Remembering all those talks sent my mind mulling mild;
Talking to you tonight, brought back sweet memories
Of what could have been, so long ago how you did, please!

How did we end up living at different ends of the earth?
Could we have not been given a second hand of rebirth?
Talking to you tonight, kept my mind running so wild!
Remembering how you made me smile,
 
why can't we go on an extra long while?
I still can't believe you remembered the smell of my perfume;
Unfortunately, I've forgotten the name of that brand I do assume.
All those sweet memories of what could have really been
